📢 Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year at Santa Fe Elementary!
I am thrilled to introduce myself as your Principal! With 14 years in education, I am committed to supporting our Jaguars, partnering with our families, and keeping our campus safe.
📱 Important Parent Action Item: Please make sure you download the free Cleveland ISD app (available on iOS and Android) and access Rooms! Rooms inside our district app is the easiest way to message your child's teachers, receive my weekly parent newsletter, and stay up to date on campus news.
To ensure a smooth start to our day and keep every child safe, please review our morning drop-off procedures below:
⏰ Morning Times: Doors open at 8:15 AM. Instruction starts sharp at 8:40 AM. If your child is eating breakfast, please arrive by 8:15 AM!
🚦 Drop-Off Safety Steps:
We unload in batches of 7 cars between the orange cones. Always wait for the staff flagger’s signal!
Once parked in your station (Lane A or B): Stop completely, put your car in PARK, and TURN OFF your engine while students exit.
Lane A (Closest to building): Unload and drive straight out when signaled.
Lane B (Middle): Unload, then signal and merge into Lane C to exit safely.
Lane C (Outer): EXPRESS EXIT ONLY. No drop-offs allowed in Lane C!
Please remain in your vehicle and stay off cell phones while in the staging area. Let’s have a safe, wonderful year moving Forward Together! 💙

📱 Personal Communication Devices - State Law Reminder
Texas Education Code Sec. 37.082 establishes statewide expectations regarding student use of personal communication devices during the school day.
To help ensure a focused learning environment, students may not use personal communication devices while on school property during the instructional day. Devices, including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds/headphones, tablets, and similar electronic devices, must remain stored in the student's backpack unless otherwise directed by school staff.
This policy applies to all Cleveland ISD campuses and is designed to:
• 📚 Minimize classroom distractions
• 👩🏫 Maximize instructional time
• 🎯 Keep students engaged in learning
• 🏫 Ensure consistency with Texas law

As we prepare for the first day of school, please take a moment to review your campus bell schedule to ensure your student arrives on time.
Important Reminders:

• Middle Schools: 7:50 am - 3:30 pm
• C9 and CHS: 7:00 am - 2:40 pm

We encourage families to allow a few extra minutes for traffic during the first week of school and arrive early so students can begin the year ready to learn.
